I hate meetings

I hate them with a passion. When I see people sitting there trying to formulate sentences for no apparent reason but just to fill the void of silence, it just boils my blood.

I was reading an article titled "Why Google can’t build Instagram" and I came across this quote

how Larry Ellison actually got efficiencies from teams. If a team wasn’t productive, he’d come every couple of weeks and say “let me help you out.” What did he do? He took away another person until the team started shipping and stopped having unproductive meetings.

I'm no fan of Larry, but the man's right. I would much rather work in a small team that meets for a purpose.
